Do You Have A Fear Of Heights?

Do your legs go like jelly when you are up high and look down?
It seems irrational to feel fear as you are usually looking down from a safe place!

So l ask, how do you react to being up high and looking down? Or, does being up at a great height, not bother you at all?

I work at height.
I'm more afraid of lengths and widths as I'm not a strong swimmer.

No I don't fear heights, which is fortunate as my husband isn't keen on them. It was me who had to climb onto the roof of our previous property to paint the chimneys!

No fear of heights here, which is quite an advantage being a builder...

Funny thing though, even though I'm a good swimmer I do fear deep water.

Re: Do You Have A Fear Of Heights?

I have a BIG fear of heights. I have tried to face up to it by going to the top of the Eiffel Tower, Top of the Rock and even flown a light aircraft but It makes no difference, in fact, I think it's got worse.

Re: Do You Have A Fear Of Heights?

I am OK if it is a natural height - hills, mountains etc., are fine by me - but - I do not feel comfortable with man-made heights like tall buildings, high bridges and things.

Re: Do You Have A Fear Of Heights?

I do have a real fear of heights, a very irrational one at that. I once froze at the top of an escalator and my husband had to come and get me. Although I am fine on planes or enclosed areas.
