Pension contributions to different countries

Has anyone been in the position where they have lived in several different countries and paid into the welfare systems of those countries while working there? What organization would be able to advise about preparing for pension payments at retirement, or how to handle volountary contributions prior to that if necessary?

If you've paid into the welfare systems of foreign countries, you may only receive a pension in the UK if there was a reciprocal agreement in place at the time you paid. You should contact the pension company or HR department of the company you worked for and make sure they have your new address. They would surely be able to advise you.
