She is the sort of dog who has always got something in her mouth.

Clumsy, glad the stitches are over and done with now.
Thank you Mups. I canīt believe how good she was having those stitches out of her eye, especially since one gave a little difficulty.

Toys, her favourites get a wash, but ones sheīs only been interested in for a few minutes are given away. Itīs quite embarrassing at times, when none regular visitors come she heads straight for their handbags or bags expecting to find something for her in them.

Brilliant news and what a good girl to stand still for that.

Toys we have weekend toys and weekday toys and special day toys, one lot put away at a time. It's funny they always think they are getting something new and special each time we change them around.

Weīve tried that too, but it doesnīt work. Even a year later madam turns her nose up at something sheīs no longer keen on. I think she must have a good memory.

Lol it is a benefit sometimes having a slightly less intelligent dog, poor Elsie thinks it's something new each time. Should have seen her face the other day, she was asleep in an armchair and Gracie lined all her fluffy toys up along the arm of the chair, when Elsie woke up it was bedlam as she couldn't believe all these toys were sitting there.

Betty far too intelligent to even play with toys, she looks at Elsie with a pitying look when she sees her playing.

I've never seen her so happy and over excited almost took arm off the chair trying to get upright to get at them, she sleeps on her back I sometimes think she forgets how to be a dog !

Yay, stitches are out. And hopefully no more of that monster cone!
May your little darling now enjoy many hours with her toys!

Re: Back from the Vetīs

Thank you Mags and LMB. I think she's worn herself out since we got back from the Vet's, she's had visitors coming to see how she is, eaten two lots of dinner (most unusual for her to even finish one), raced round the house and garden, thrown all the toys out of her toy box and since 9 p.m. has been flat on her back, back legs spread out, front legs in the air, fast asleep on a sofa, having rearranged the cushions to her preference of course.
