The sport's lost all it's glamour ... the drivers are rubbish ... oh bring back the days of Senna and Mansell, Prost, Lauder and Hunt.

Not so much the drivers being rubbish, it’s all the rules and teams obsessions with aerodynamics

Re: F1, does away with grid girls

Ironically different tyre compounds were brought in to spice up the racing, but in most cases it does the opposite, team orders although seem unfair, are used to give the team(s) the potential to score as many points as possible, usually one driver is given instructions, to aid the team or other driver, in either of the championship usually later in the season when it is unlikely one of the teams drivers can win the drivers championship,

F1, does away with grid girls

Isn't it getting just a little bit silly now.......
Most of those girls like doing it and have worked hard to keep themselves in good shape. The wages aren't too shabby either. And isn't it infringing on their human rights and freedom of choice, not all women want to do that kind of work and have little respect for those that do, but the few are writing laws for the many and nobody wants to stand up for the girls rights because it's not PC anymore.

Re: F1, does away with grid girls

Not sure what I think to be honest, I asked my hubby (he is a grand prix addict) if he would miss them and he said the glamour is the cars not the girls.

I suppose it's politically correct in today's climate to ban them but to be honest i don't think pretty girls earning a living at these events is the problem....It's all gone a bit mad IMO
