Goodness isn't that cute in a slightly disturbing way

My husbands the birthday cake maker here he's done various creations using barbie doll as inspiration, last year was frozen inspired, we've had free silly, postman pat, Thomas the tank, this year he's doing Beyoncé I think that's proving a bit of a challenge but he's determined.

Re: Life Sized Cake !

When I was a boy my Mum made a layer cake for my birthday, with a layer for each year - chocolate, plain, pink, blue, green, though as I got older the colours did repeat
I expect many of the colours were made from coal tar and have been banned years ago

When I got to about 9 or 10 we decided that was enough, and stopped

My sister in-law makes and decorates cakes for clients. Recently, she was asked by a customer to make one of a woman giving birth to celebrate the birth of her baby. Some weird folks about. In the end, she changed her mind and settled on something less shocking.

I agree, I think perhaps that lady's request was going a bit too far, Judd.

I think the life-sized cake is a bit much! And as said, spooky!

I know of a young mum who ordered a cake to celebrate her child's first time using the potty! Not sure what kind of cake she wanted, and not going there!

Re: Life Sized Cake !

Oh yuk I hate this current fad for cakes that are spectacular to look at but taste like sweet sawdust.
There is a program on TV where people make 'extreme cakes' to order.

If people are going to eat cakes at all, when they do it should be a pleasurable experience and a good reason to be eating sugar.
