Garden chair

Such a lovely afternoon says I to myself , I'll go and sit in the garden . I'm enjoying a cuppa when suddenly there was a tearing sound and my bottom fell through the seat , my arms and legs in the air with my head stuck firmly on my chest and bum stuck fast , I had to roll over onto the grass and pull myself out . I was so pleased no neighbours were around to see , how embarrassing ! The size of the tear where my rear end went through too !

Re: Garden chair

:

I am also sorry for laughing but you gotta admit your discription of the event was so funny.

On the downside I have found those are the worst chairs to buy and as you have found out very hazardous.
They are quite steady on solid ground but on grass no way.
I see so many of them thrown away broken over the park.
Perhaps when you are out next shopping for a new one you should get one that is more stable and can obviously take your weight.
May I suggest a wooden one with cushions that can fold down into a sunbed.
Or perhaps an aluminium one that is really light but very strong.
If you lived closer I would give you my complete garden set its never used anymore its on my sunroof.
I want a smaller set and a swing seat to sleep on it when I get tired in the afternoons.

Re: Garden chair

I'm still laughing and glad neighbours were out , if my friends had been there they would have filmed me rocking from side to side then falling to the grass stuck on my side with my rear end wedged tight . Oh dear , love it . Thankyou Longfellow for your kind offer . Thank goodness I was born with a good sense of humour

Re: Garden chair

oh dear, I'm sorry for laughing but this is just funny and reminded me of many years ago when my friend and I were sat out on a wooden garden picnic bench in her garden enjoying a few beers, one minute we were chatting away, next we were on the deck! The bench set had collapsed. We couldn't stop laughing but first thing we BOTH did was look around to see if anyone had seen us, luckily no one had, it was You've Been Framed worthy hehe
