One notes Ms Portman has not mentioned giving back the $2 million that she got with the award and it comes not from the Israeli government but from philanthropic sources .
This money is usually given to the award winner to donate to various charities ..

Perhaps she's already donated the money to the Palestinian Intefada.

It now appears that she is not being allowed to donate the money .
It is however still going to the women's charities to which it was intended .
