Yes - an anti Vietnam war song, I believe. Great though !
I liked "By the time I get Phoenix" as well. A very talented man.

Yet another great song, indeed. All his songs were brilliant, I've got one of his CDs in the car (along with Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and Elvis) and as it cycles through the CDs his plays every few days. Great music, too bad we don't have anything to that high quality these days - it is now just a competition to see how little clothing the women can wear and how many women the men can sleep with.

Don't get me wrong, there were mini-skirts and promiscuity in the 60s and 70s, but never to the extent it is today.

And I know this is a controversial thing to say, but it WAS because people still felt strongly about marriage. These days because it is perfectly "acceptable" to live your whole life, having a home and children whilst never marrying, sleeping around isn't such a big deal.

I know my grandchildren are growing up in a world that is great for so many reasons, but the modern principles are not one of them.

Bloody hell !
Not being much of a country music fan, I had no idea he was such a great guitarist.

Keith Urban (very different vocally) also knows which end of a 'geetar' is which.
