I once had to do a small bit of paper hanging for a customer and had my pasting table set up in the front garden. Not wanting to buy a new pasting brush, I was just using an old paint brush. Obviously it was taking a bit longer to paste than it should have. After a few sheets, I noticed someone had left me a pasting brush. I never found out where or who it came from.
