Re: Post your daily exercise routine

Exactly a year ago I posted on here I'd swum 30 lengths (in half an hour)...today was the first serious swim (apart from larking about in Centre Parcs) since then, and since four bouts of illness during the winter and feeling pretty knackered generally until fairly recently to be honest.

I managed 22 lengths this afternoon so I'm feeling pleased with myself

Sounds pretty good to me Ruthio, good reason to be pleased. Although I like swimming I only seem to get to do it when I'm on holiday, and they've been in short supply since the FIL took ill. I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but after his funeral next week perhaps we will get back to doing a bit of globe trotting....

Re: Post your daily exercise routine

Managed a longer run this morning. Did some short efforts for a few miles then around a loop in the forestry. Glad I put an extra t-shirt on as the wind was cutting at times.

I thought I would have a poor run as I had drunk a fair bit the night before last and had eaten too much on top of it but I felt OK. Still getting stronger by the looks of it.

I intend to run every other day for now until I really pick up and my recovery improves.

Thats impressive Ruthio, did you reward yourself? think I would have treated myself to a cream cake after that

I am too hot to even get off the chair at the moment.

Coming back from a knee injury. 4th in a row of running for me. Not long from completing a 5 miler. Pretty hot but sweat soon cools you down - along with a bit of shade.

Thanks Ced, I wouldn't have known it was a year if I hadn't remembered my post on this thread!

Re: Post your daily exercise routine

Must admit the heat got to me tonight. Went well for around 3 miles then ran out of steam. Mind you this is the 5th day in a row where I have run and yesterday I went out twice. Didn't half sweat tonight though. Was glad to get back to the car.

Aye, the heat must be a downer. Thank the gods the Leisure Centre gym is beautifully air conditioned. It actually feels chilly when you first enter but you're glad of that when you start building up a sweat!
