Re: Back from the Vetīs

Thank you Silver Tabby and Jazzi. I really feel for her, it canīt be nice having stitches in your eye and having to cope with the cone too.

Awww. What a little sweetheart.
Looks like she's resigned to wearing that 'thing'. For now!

I'm jealous you're able to have a couch on your veranda. In December!!

Thank you LMB. It is actually a veranda, or it was, itīs all glassed in now, so more a sun room, no glass roof though, just a normal one. Itīs ChoChoīs favourite place, she can sit and watch who is going up or down the road. I think resigned is the right word, but itīs very hard to resist that beseeching little face asking to have it taken off.

Re: Back from the Vetīs

So pleased to see ChoCho recovering. I know you are relieved to have her home.

Oh...those cones....

Ranger, after his eye closing surgery, used that cone like a plough, pushing his way through the house, crashing into everything, knocking over lamps, clipping people at the knees, and terrifying the other dogs.

I hope that things go a little better with the smaller version .

Re: Back from the Vetīs

Thank you Surfermom. Oh dear I can well imagine poor Ranger ploughing about, the cones must be really disorientating for them. ChoCho, small as she is, gets very frustrated, especially at eating times, but she seems to have more or less mastered walking about, she isn't running everywhere at top speed right now. We have steps up to the front of the house and she can get down them, but not back up as the bottom of the cone catches the steps and knocks her off balance, so if she goes down the steps we have to carry her up again. Of course she can go out via the back of the house, two of the bedrooms have patio doors, no steps and normally that's what she would do, out to the back of the house, then race round to the front and back in up the steps, but at the minute she chooses to do the difficult but shorter route. No doubt some would say "typical female"

Re: Back from the Vetīs

Last post thingy took me to last page and I was frantically scrolling back I could believe I'd missed a picture ! What a love, and I think she looks so relaxed she's going to be fine.

Any consolation few eye ops ours have had all healed far quicker than any other body parts. So hopefully you'll find that to be true yourself.
