Re: Benefit sanctions yellow card scheme.

Dare I ask .... genuinely curious here.

Aside from our resident dinosaur Commie (with rusty picket line knuckle dusters) and our embittered EU sycophant the main outcry seems to be from Scottish members.

Sturgeon has gone dead as a duck in the water of late, but it is true the Conservatives are very poorly represented up over Hadrian's Wall.
Would another Scottish Independence Referendum solve this?
There are many English who wouldn't mind unloading the Scots, as per head, they do considerably better than English with government handouts but are like the favoured few with only just over 5 million in population.

Morti, The Tories are hated and I mean hated by most in Scotland. Thanks to Thatcher and her trying out the Poll Tax on us and causing general havoc. it's gone from bad to worse ever since. They have never been forgiven. Don't get me wrong there are some Tory Lovers here but they are mostly the Land Owners who want to keep their dosh hidden with no questions asked. Under the Tories that's what happens. Your right Nicola is very quiet at the moment, don't know why but no doubt we'll find out soon enough.
As for Indy 2. It would be best IMO, BUT, so many are scared and seem to have no faith in themselves anymore. The so called Vow that was shoved down our throats was also believed, but it was soon shown up for what it was....A load of Havers. There's a big movement for another Ref but Herself won't hold it till she's sure we will win. I know Scotland will be Independant at some point, I just hope I'm around to see it happen.
I really don't see why Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and England can't stay united but all take charge of our own Countries and come together with Westminster in times of disaster, war or stuff like that.

If you were genuinely curious, rather than stirring or being bitchy, you wouldn't start your post with snide insults.

The Tories are especially hated in Scotland for good reason, but no, the benefits sanctions have caused poverty, misery, hunger and homelessness all over the UK so if Scotland were independent it might help them but not relieve pain and injustice in the rest of the country.

As to the English wanting to unload Scotland, I see Brexiter petty xenophobia is extending. The Little Englanders should perhaps think on the way England and Westminster plundered and wasted North Sea oil and gas without the financial benefits going to the Scots, to whom they rightfully belonged.

Ok Enjoy your Lunch May. I don't really understand why any south of the boarder would hate the SNP as what they do does not affect them in any way. Unlike their government who we have no choice but to put up with.

I find myself agreeing with you... in part, at least.

Personally, I think you should do all you possibly can to push for Scottish independence.

That is a very good point which I had not thought of before.

Think UJ should move up there.

Hey ... UJ is proud to be called a Commie with rusty knuckle dusters. .. he did picket line duty and is proud of it... it was a fair description of you too. Take it as a compliment. Don't be so obstreperous for the sheer sake of it.

So do you think Scotland are stronger as they are ... or better off breaking away and pursuing an independent future? They're strongly SNP ( shades of patriotism) and have a reluctance to been ruled by representatives they feel they did not vote for.
I was actually asking our Scottish members how they felt but as you've butted in I can extend my curiosity to your opinion too.
