It’s finally been decided

Cream teas, which way around, the Cornish way, jam on first then clotted cream on top..the Devon way, clotted cream on first then jam, apparently the Queen always has balmoral jam on first then clotted cream on top.. so there.. it’s official you can all sleep easy now....your welcome

I put the jam on first and then a nice dollop of clotted cream .... my mouth is watering at the thought!

I don't eat Cream Teas, but if I did then it would be the Cornish way, Jam first.

Same here Mags, only because I find it difficult to spread jam on top of cream.

By the looks of it our queen is somewhat baffled probably her age has a lot to do with this, there is only one way to decorate a cream tea and that is the Devonian way the Cornish and our queen have a lot to learn.

Well, I live in Devon & have always put butter on first, then jam & the cream last. Jam just slides off the cream if you put it on top & gives you messy fingers.
