Egg and flour, yes, for the ones made with shredded potato. I don't really use a recipe. I just shred the potatoes, wring out as much moisture as I can, then toss them in a bowl with beaten egg, salt & pepper and a little bit of flour and that helps to hold it all together. I suppose the flour isn't really necessary, if you don't want to use it, but the 'batter' will be a little runnier without it.Re: Things you just can't cook

I'm a real good cook so far as American homey style goes, but never could do cakes, bread, or pie crust. When I make my blueberry or sweet potato caramel cake, I always get a box of pound cake mix. Store bought pie crust or bread. No sense in even trying.Re: Things you just can't cook

Oh how I miss eating eggs with runny yolk. That was one of my favorite things in the world - soft boiled eggs, fried eggs over easy, drippy, delicious, decadent yolks that I could dip my toast into...Re: Things you just can't cook
