Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Not a bad day ,nice breeze blowing on my washing
I've started cleaning my kitchen cupboards . I've only got a tiny kitchen but still found stuff that's just rubbish and out of date food .!!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

It's been ages since I cleared out my pantry - hate to think what I could find in there!!

Got all the washing dry this morning. Engineer came to bring a new tray for Rob's wheelchair, stayed to service the electric one and discovered one motor (it has two) had a really bad oil leak and could have seized up at any moment. We were lucky that hadn't happened when we were out. Window cleaner came too and DIL to bring me some weed killer. Felt like Piccadilly Circus!!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Enjoy your visit Rhosyn xx
What a day I had yesterday . Hospital phoned at 9'30am saying they had a cancellation and could I come in straight away for removal on skin cancer . I said yes then tried to phone daughter but no answer . I phoned a friend who could drive me . I was expecting to just go to the clinic and have it cut off the same way they did the lesion on my nose When I got there it was a full theatre job and they told my friend to ring back at 3.30 !!. It was 4'30 before I went down and I was in full panic mode by then . Anyway it didn't take long and my friend was waiting . I realised then that my daughter would be worried over missed calls .When I got home there was a note left by her . She came straight to the flat when she saw the missed call . She saw my breakfast remains and my car was there so didn't know what to do . She went home and my G/daughter asked her if she had checked the toilet and said that Elvis had died in the toilet !!!She came all the way back to check and she was on the phone just as I got in . She must have been scared stiff !!!

Oh Jac, what a palaver. Your poor daughter must have been in a heap too! Hope you're home and enjoying being back on the sofa and that all heals well.

Have had the little boys all day today. Took them to Hay and they had to wait while I had a hair cut - but the hairdresser gave them a chocolate egg (small) each so that wasn't too bad. Picked up Rob's meds and then took them to the park to let off steam. Came home and made soup - they did all the chopping up! and after lunch a lemon drizzle cake. (Mary Berry's recipe and I have to admit it was yummy) Now going to collapse on the settee.

Hope Rhosyn finds her way off the motorway......

Didn't think much of the DVD. There are a few more episodes but I don't think I'll bother
Overcast here but no rain. Sea is like a mill-pond
