SNOWFLAKES? They're todays FASCISTS!

...
In yesterdays Mail On Sunday there was the below article written by Stephen Pollard who is respected editor of The Jewish Chronicle. I think we should sit up and take notice of this rather frightening trend of what looks like to me, todays Snowflakes taking over every corner of our lives.

Your freedom of speech opinions please.
You should express them while you still can!

(not 'shouting').

Snowflakes? They're today's fascists!

Jewish writer STEPHEN POLLARD says there's nothing funny about the march of the PC brigade

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/ar...-fascists.html

You might wonder, then, what Friday night’s attack on Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg as he attempted to give a talk to students has to do with this.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-a8192241.html

Or last week’s decision – now reversed in the face of near-universal outrage – by Manchester Art Gallery to remove a pre-Raphaelite painting featuring mild nudity, Hylas And The Nymphs.
These are both an attempt to silence a view because it offends some people. It is for good reason that a new word entered the Oxford English Dictionary last month: a snowflake is ‘an overly sensitive or easily offended person’.
When the snowflake generation seeks to silence an MP because they disagree with him, or prompt an art gallery to remove a painting because someone might be offended by the nude depiction of a woman, they believe they have right and morality on their side.

But theirs is a dangerous delusion. Because free speech – and the offence which can come with it – is the bedrock of freedom itself.

The snowflakes are becoming an avalanche. Barely a week now passes without a fresh demand that they be protected from some form of supposedly offensive behaviour in the name of morality and decency.

In Orwell’s dystopian world, The Party used slogans such as War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength.

Satire – yes. But a warning, also.
Demands that only one form of thought is permitted, and that anything which deviates from it is offensive and should be banned, are profoundly dangerous. They pretend to be about care and concern, but are in reality a form of intellectual totalitarianism.
Without offence and without upset, there is tyranny.

If we close our minds to ideas that upset us, the long-term consequence is that our minds will atrophy. We will no longer be able to think for ourselves, writes Stephen Pollard (photograph of Hitler Youth members burning books, dated 1938)

Re: SNOWFLAKES? They're todays FASCISTS!

It's a period in the life of all students who get on the political band waggon and are fed propaganda for bait.

It's happened for long enough, but oddly seemed confined to mainly UK . Before the EU we had the 'Ban the Bomb' , 'Peace not War' etc.etc.
All the political marches that resulted in nothing.

However, paintings removed from galleries in Manchester, which I noted at the time and thought it was obviously a cultural thing. Manchester being a hub for the Asian Muslim communities , and they wouldn't visit the gallery with nude pics, now would they ? So that is a move to bring in more revenue, imo.

The fact that the above is being blown up is not helpful. This is precisely how freedom of speech starts to be clamped down on, which is even more dangerous and more fuel for the activists.
Hitler had an obsession, it wouldn't do for everyone to suffer the same vile obsessions, but Universities have always been a political hot bed for cultural change and mostly all the things a democracy rejects .
Unfortunately , that is exactly where Corbyn got stuck, but he didn't even manage a valid qualification to assist an application for entrance. Dear Diane educated him and as we know , she is 'common sense on legs' !

Re: SNOWFLAKES? They're todays FASCISTS!

Abbott used to anger me I thought what a horrible racist then I looked at the awful bigotry she was being bombarded with, if I had some of the stuff she did, death threats rape threats etc I'd be racist too and see everyone else as the problem.

But on the wider issue, we have had a few recent governmemts who have caused all this IMO

Blair and brown brought in unfettered migration causing a lot of anger, Cameron and may have made people poorer and poorer, people have died while unable to feed themselves on benefits. Again anger great anger.

Cameron started a campaign of lies and anger calling many innocent people of being bigots and racists because we wanted to leave eu. Anger lots of anger.

All this anger has to go somewhere. The young are locked out of housing and decent wages, anger lots of anger.

It's been building up and building up, we've watched government and our presses divide our country encouraged us to turn on each other.

So much anger so much division it has to go somewhere.

Calling people names snowflakes etc doesn't make that anger go away it helps it build.

I'm scared what will happen next if they don't manage to bring this growing anger under control. If they don't solve the housing crisis if they don't make it more acceptable to be disabled etc.

It's fine blaming the angry great go ahead, but they have legitimate things to be angry about.

Re: SNOWFLAKES? They're todays FASCISTS!

What you say Julie is correct, but I see the reason as being slightly different.

Mostly due to a) Blair and Bush , and their constant reference to 'Muslims' in the most derogatory way.
Who had even a glimmer of disdain for any religion that was worth talking about prior to our brainwashing by that pair of war mongers ? I bet most in this country didn't even know there was a religion attributed to Islam. The invasion and mass release of prisoners was culpable for the Islamic fundamentalists movement to kill Christians and others , thus putting religions into the spotlight. Nobody bothered to ask why those prisoners were in jail ...they just opened the doors and thought they would get praise for being compassionate !

Secondly, b) the whole process of 'globalisation ' has contributed to the continuing problems we have now inherited from every corner of the planet.
Fifteen years and UK has been turned upside down as has the whole world .
Wars, wars and more wars in countries that would otherwise have continued to live day to day without outside interference from 'leaders' who make it their business to squabble and cause discontent amongst their own people and other nations .
Wars cost money, and we have to pay. Strange thing that none ever raise that issue and how much UK has spent on wars. At least £30 billion between Afghanistan and Iraq alone.
Iraq was the greatest influence in causing such instability and as it turned out...for no apparent reason or not the reasons we 'the gullible' were given. We are still being gullible to our detriment.

We now pay a hefty price , but it wouldn't take much to make it worse and if Blair had remained in office we would have also been fighting in Syria as he so urged the then Government to do so.

Syria started by 3 or 4 high school students painting political stuff on walls and setting fire to a post box. (something they knew was very wrong )but school kids as activists in Syria, just doesn't ring true.
George Bush told Assad to interrogate them because they could have been connected to Al Qaeda , and they were brutally interrogated by the police. The parents objected and protests 'organised ' by 'others' were initiated.
Bush worked in devious ways to cause instability amongst the Middle East and dragged us all into the mayhem that spread and continues today.

Globalisation of mixing the cultures does not work for anyone on such a large scale, and now we have the repercussions of forced integration and religious followings , which are not approved of.
Unless there are laws put in place to protect the Muslim communities , equivalent to how we are unable to speak and ridicule Jews and Judaism, it will get worse, but I believe that is what will come from pressure in the not too distant future. The same old cliché , 'what is good for the goose is good for the gander'. If Erdogan has his way, we can guarantee that outcome.
Then what might come next.... is what I wonder ?

Oh dear, I think I may have gone off track a little bit , but to my mind these are the issues in a round about way for discontent we have today,,,, everywhere.

Re: SNOWFLAKES? They're todays FASCISTS!

The overall global agenda is to "neuter" people to create a "nation" of "nothing people" who's identity, culture and tradition have all been stripped away.

The aim is to generate this colossal collective of people made "equal", people forced to abandon their real nationality and identity so that they can then bring the entire lot under their control.

This really IS the New World Order in its final stages of implementation. The laws around arrest are already changing moving from the ancient and fundamental principle of Habeus Corpus here in the UK (Innocent Until Proven Guilty) to the EU's totalitarian Corpus Juris which gives them the power to arrest and detain anyone for 6 months or more without a shred of evidence.

A time is coming when we are going to have to stand up and once again fight for our basic freedoms. All those before us, our grandparents, great grandparents who fought in WWII and sacrificed so much, would see straight away the approaching menace that now faces us all.

The world is run by criminals, huge conglomerates, globalists who have all the wealth, all the power. We are just chaff, cannon fodder to them.

They need to be brought back under control. Our fundamental laws need to be re-established. The British Constitution properly underwritten and made absolute law.

The only thing that lies ahead of us at present is revolution. Widespread civil unrest, rioting, looting, murder and violence. Much of it will be purposefully instigated by the criminals. The chaps in helmets and riot gear will step in, aided by the military who will usher in martial law.

The New World Order will use all of thus unrest to implement new laws and controls to essentially enslave people once and for all. Totalitarian dictatorship.

No freedom of speech, no way back.

You must be joking loads Muslims love nudity and porn and get as much as anyone else and probaby more because they are restricted in other ways Internet cafes in the Middle East are filled with both men and women having cyber sex.
For some reason people think Muslims are either saints or fundamentalists ( not real Muslims ) !in fact they are a vast spectrum of society with all the foibles of anyone else complete with a huge dollop of total hypocrisy as well .

Ain't keen on Global Stuff, but folks (up to now) have probably indirectly benefitted from it.
