Re: Finding a new job in your 50s
I managed to get my present job at the age of 55, but it was only because a friend recommended me for it I don't think I would have been taken on in normal circumstances, now they can't get rid of me.Re: Finding a new job in your 50s
It's not easy, but it's not impossible eitherRe: Finding a new job in your 50s
Problem is they are running down the company we believe, it was a family firm bought out by investors, they are making life hard for everyone and as people leave they don't get replaced, it's sad to see the company go down like this but apparently they are trying to make it run at a loss for some reason.Re: Finding a new job in your 50s
We can't afford to move swim, so that's off the menu immediately. Both health and family ties and financially we are here and will stay here. Our rent now is minimal as we've paid off our mortgage so we wouldn't even be better off finding cheaper accommodation.Re: Finding a new job in your 50s
Dog walking- gutter cleaning- oven cleaning- gardening- drive cleaning. That is just off the top of my head
