Not every body thats offered for medical research is accepted

Those that are still have to be disposed off when they have finished with them, so its still a cremation

I think that the deceased body become the jurisdiction of the the ones that loved them, i.e. Family and friends, and out of respect for that person a civilised society would afford a decent burial or cremation with a short service in remembrance. It's not about the deceased after death, it's about the loved ones left behind....The dead person is no longer a part of this world, but their body deserves some respect...And the loved ones allowed to grieve....

The only change I would make is harness the energy from cremations I live near a crematorium they use a lot of fuel to burn up the bodies but all that heat is sent up the chimney, I can't get my head around surely it could be used in some way even if it was just to heat the school opposite.

I'm not sentimental about bodies once you are gone it's just a shell but I do think we need a hygienic way of ridding us of them and chopping them up for food sounds really unhygienic and quite disturbing.

What might be an idea is to have mass cremations, whole load all at once, instead of singular respectful ones?
