You must have very small pie dishes down your way. My pies are more like Desperate Dan's Cow Pies - so big you'd need a forklift to pick them up with!

Agree Doc - a pie should be enclosed in pastry, don't want to eat it otherwise, I like me pastry

I have loved some of these jolly answers, had a good grin. I was always taught that a pie should have a base, sides and top, else not a true pie.
