Main Colour?

Whats the main colour in your house?

Mine's all natural colours I used to like Blue's etc, but then I decided I needed a change I have a chocolate leather sofa with beige and sand walls, and a chocolate coloured carpet. The rest of the house is pretty much the same colours

Re: Main Colour?

We've recently gone neutral colours throughout, apart from my utility room, which is blue. I was not sure about it, as I do love colours, but figured I could then splash out on coloured furnishings etc., which are easier to change.

Re: Main Colour?

Mostly neutral, but my bedroom is a lovely green with white paintwork and a white dado rail, I am not very brave when it comes to strong colours!

Re: Main Colour?

When we first moved in I used a lot of strong heritage colours (ointment pink, turquoise etc), but over the years I've toned this down. However I still use exclusively Farrow and Ball as I adore their palette; extremely 'soft' colours.

I also use wallpaper - a Zoffany reacreation of a Georgian patter in the sitting room - beige and greeny-blue and a navy blue and cream toile de jouey in one of the bedrooms. But my favourite room is our bedroom which is various shades of warm grey (walls, woodwork, fireplace, furniture) - not a hard, cold grey but soft, warm, beigey/pinky/grey tones.
