Probus

My husband belongs to Probus, which has monthly meetings for retired business and professional men (very sexist!). A speaker (including women) will give them a talk on a range of subjects. I was invited to give them a talk about my childhood three years ago.

Does anyone on this forum belong to Probus?

To be frank if my husband wasn't brain damaged I very much doubt he would have given them a second glance. He often comes home and has a good moan about the way it is run, or the speakers.

Re: Probus

There was quite a big group of them at a restaurant I was eating in last week. They all seemed fairly elderly and well dressed. There were women with them as well, so perhaps that is allowed at social events. It didn’t look like a very lively group

Never heard of it Tara.
Do they do funny handshakes?
Or even milkshakes.
Sorry, I am in my usual silly mood.
Carry on.

Probus is not exclusively for retired business and professional men tarantula. Women are well represented as well. It's nothing like the Masons.
