Peal them under water and the "fumes " won't make your eyes water because there arn't any.

I regularly fine dice 100kgs a day and have to say my eyes don't water after the first kilo if they even start

I use a very very fine sharp knife. Nice clean cuts

Re: Onions

I heard a weird one once ..

Cut onions with a piece of bread in your mouth ... with the bread hanging out.
Can't say I've tried it .. I'm pretty conscious about how far I'm prepared to go to look a twit.

Re: Onions

I don't cry cutting up onions, I chop up onions every day, so I suppose you must get used to it.

Swimming goggles work well though you do look a bit of a twit! If they hurt your eyes a swimming mask works quite well too Or just ask the kids to do it

Omg lol

We have taken on a Christmas temp, and yes he wears goggles

Cruel to laugh but all day there’s someone working on onions or leeks so you soon get used to it he obviously won’t and we will all get a cheap giggle

Re: Onions

It's mean to laugh at them - well unless they have gone for the snorkel too - then it's OK
