Answer - The man from GCHQ - not somebody from a major manufacturer or Virus program writer. This man appears to have put the story out there.
Why would GCHQ find this out when business users haven't noticed anything?.

The W10 Fix is now "out there" and is one of the W10 Automatic Updates.To see if you have it, go to Control Panel/Programs & Features/Installed Updates.
The MS fix is KB4056892 - mine was installed on 7th January 2018.
I expect that others will be on staggered dates around that time.
There is a fix available for those who are not on Automatic Updates.
