Trouble is, the more popular a breed is, the more they are bred from.

Sadly, this can often be the cause of hereditary health problems, when they are over-bred, or irresponsibly bred because they know the pups will always sell.

I like Labs, but I do know they can have 6 different eye problems to test for, plus elbows and hips to be x-rayed, and two types of heart disorders!

The breeders who mate two Labs from untested stock greatly contribute to these problems.
