Talcum powder warning

Talcum powder warning

Johnson & Johnson ordered to pay $72 million in suit linking talcum powder to ovarian cancer.

In an audio deposition, the Birmingham, Ala., native who died at age 62 recounted 35 years of using Johnson & Johnson products containing talcum powder, including the manufacturing giant’s trademark baby powder and its Shower to Shower body powder. Fox had used them for feminine hygiene, and she believed they were what ultimately killed her.

Re: Talcum powder warning

Yes heard about talcum powder in the 70s - not worth the risk using it, so I don't

Yes! This has been known about for decades. Why hasn't it been banned? Every baby has to breathe it in several times a day.

Yes, we were warned of its health risk in the UK back in the 70s.

Because our life spans have to be kept abnormally short by those who rule. $72 million is nothing to these giant corporations, it's pocket change for the Christmas bubbly.

People should equally be avoiding just about all anti-perspirants and deodorants as they just about all contain some form of aluminium/alum compound. It is VERY difficult (and purposely so) to find an anti-perspirant that does into contain these compounds. But find them we must.

Doubtless these play a key role in the prevalence of breast cancer though the propaganda machines will tell us otherwise.

That's right Realist - I don't use a deodorant with aluminium content

Re: Talcum powder warning

We know about it. The companies that make and sell it know about it. Our government know about it and they are supposed to regulate what we buy and use to ensure safety. The medical profession knows about it.

Question a-begging there!
