Banning Beards

Tess, are you listening?

Just heard on the lunchtime news that Health & Safety want to ban builders beards - except on religious grounds.

They are saying if they work in a dusty atmosphere, protective face masks can't 'seal' to the face properly.

Where are you Tpin, you're thoughts on this please?

On a serious note I can't see it would make a lot of difference except that it's racist of course.

Oh yes, I had more trouble tripping over mine going up the roof ladders.

Yes, funny how they think the dust mask will be fine over some beards and not others though. That'll cause problems I'll bet.

We've had that rule in cleaning for some time. Only clean shaven men are allowed to use certain products.

It's racist in two ways;

1, Only the non-religious will be forced to shave off their beards

2, Those with beards for religious reasons will not get the same protection.

Maybe they should just leave things alone.
