Tens machine.

Has anybody used one and did it help?

Yes i used one for back problems it did work had 3 settings and a few levels in each. Used it both on the move and at home, certainly helped me, gave relief for a while.

I used one when I had a frozen shoulder and it did seem to help relieve the pain.

I was told they are not suitable for diabetics....don't know why.

Oh that's great - thank you. It's good to know they help.

How long do you have to have it attached for and how long does the pain relief last when you take it off?

I'm thinking of getting one for my trochanteric bursitis.

I use to put it on my shoulder for about half an hour at a time before I did my exercises to try and get some movement back in my shoulder and arm. It doesn't cure the pain just helps relieve it for a while.

Ask at your surgery if you can have a machine on loan, they do work as therapy but are not considered curative.
