If they are real silver, and I am making no adverse suggestions!, they won't cause any problems as they are not ferro-magnetic.

Depending upon which part of your body is being examined, the bangles or your arm may need to be repositioned to avoid interference.

Thanks, JBR, that is reassuring!

Re: MRI scan

The pins in my elbow are silver and I have a titanium plate in my jaw; neither caused any issue with any MRI I've had.

Yes, that is one reason why they don't use ferro-magnetic metals these days. In fact I don't think they have for many years.

Silver, though? I bet you went privately!

Re: MRI scan

No, I was told they were silver at the time, or they may be some alloy containing silver, but something that can withstand the MRI.

With the CT scan, all my trousers jeans have metal zips/buttons so I have to lower my trousers and they give you a blanket for modesty. One could just wear jogging/tracky bottoms but I don't have any.

Yes, anything metallic can compromise the quality of the X-ray image.

Be prepared; it's a noisy procedure.

So I gather the last one I had was 15 years ago, it seems like nothing has changed
