I booked first class seats when travelling to/from Bournemouth, and it was a fab experience! Cattle class (when I walked through for the toilet) was full of passengers lounging all over the seats, and carriages were full. My FC one, however, was a joy. I'd do it again, if the price was right.

Don't travel on the Jubilee, Northern, Central or Victoria Lines then; the 'driver' only operates the doors.

That is not quite true Bruce .
The driver controls the braking system as well.
Tube trains are a different case anyway we were discussing trains with first class carriages as opposed to the underground.
