The US military's largest non-nuclear bomb killed dozens of Islamic State militants as it smashed their mountain hideouts, Afghan officials said Friday, ruling out any civilian casualties despite the weapon's destructive capacity.

I assume this 'mother of all non-nuclear bombs' is Trump's idea of sending a subtle message to world rulers he doesn't approve of?
Trump is quoted as being ..'very proud' of it.

Putin and Assad must have lain awake last night with worry.

Trump's also increased the US military budget by 18 billion. His Generals must love him. It was a weapons testing exercise for them. ... bit cheeky though, testing their own weapons in another country.

He has called it the Father of all bombs, in a joking reference to the USA name for their bomb.

Only about 70 odd years behind the times - Barnes Wallis devised the first one - the 'earthquake' bomb - the one which sank the German Battleship Tirpitz in Tromso fiord.
