I wasn't commenting on his tenure as Chancellor, I just don't like the man. Anyone else noticed that his eyes are black and soulless like those of a shark?

Me Socialist? You must be bloody joking.

Re: Bye Bye George!

My sentiments exactly Judd, My dislike of the man has nothing whatsoever to do with his tenure as Chancellor, (apart from his potty attempt at 20p vat on pasties and other hot food take outs and picking on the disabled in another budget), he did rather a good job at turning around the chaos left by the Labour government.

My dislike is all to do with his brainchild - the Project Fear campaign, his arrogance in believing we plebs would be so gullible in believing his lies, also for shamelessly using people and organisations that should have known better to interfere, such as the Civil Service, Mark Carney and the useless President of another country - one Barak Obama, to bully the British electorate, as well as blatantly using taxpayers money to send leaflets to every home in Britain during their campaign to remain.

He was an absolute disgrace, and I was very pleased when Theresa May showed him the door the moment she took office.

Bye Bye George, You won't be missed!

Spot on you are right.

But on this forum any thing the Torys do even when it saves the country going down the pan, they just sneer.

Where do you get that idea? At the moment 65% of the people on here are saying they will vote for the Tories in the general election... Have a look at the poll!

Much more likely is the fact he has five (or is it six) other jobs, one of which pays about ten times what his MP's pay would be

I think you would have to be ten sandwiches short of picnic to stick with it as an MP in fact I'm surprised he didn't chuck it a long time ago

I concur; I didn't like him particularly either but he saved the UK economy and brought us back to economic growth and full employment, that's good enough for me.
Another point which none of us like to see and that's zero hours contracts.
My own view is that this is a passing phase; at least I hope so. As the competition for people for skilled jobs hot's up most of the zero hours will fade into the past. The trick is to 'up-skill'.

Yes but for people like George money isn't as important. People like him need to be achieving new things all the time. I think there's a good chance he will return to politics some time in the future.
What do you think?

But now you're talking about people who are influenced like sheep. People with half a brain can work it out ok.
I actually wanted Mr Corbin to carry on into the next election in '20. That would make sure the Labour party was dead and gone. But now I think he will move to the back benches after May 8th and someone like Kere Stalmer (sorry about the spelling) will take over and although he's wrong like the rest of them he does have a brain.

I haven't seen that poll, ahhh but it only a poll!!
I think people are remembering Maggie and can see some of her in Mrs May. She is certainly looking good at the moment.

It's funny the socialists on the thread have gone quiet!! One or two facts or a different way of looking at things puts paid to them.
