Cake Smash

Yes you read it right!

Baby is one year old so you hire a professional photographer and hold a Cake Smash party...The sticky details are here!

Cake smash: The new way to celebrate your baby's first birthday - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-39656299

Our little granddaughter is one on Sunday...How shall we celebrate?
I'm making a large traybake chocolate 🍰 and her three year old brother will help me and we'll decorate it with sprinkles and chocolate buttons, might make a jelly too to have with ice cream. The End.

Feel free to post your ideas here!!

I agree. And I should think all they will have afterwards is a sick baby throwing up all that sweet, sticky rubbish.

Re: Cake Smash

Sounds like the perfect party for a spoiled brat!

Bring back chicken paste sandwiches, jelly, iced biscuits, iced gems etc!

Re: Cake Smash

They sound as bad as these baby shower parties or whatever they're called.

Every event seems to require an expensive party these days.

Re: Cake Smash

We went to have some proffessional taken taken with the Family.
We had to wait awhile, which they apologised for , saying we had a family in who brought in cakes etc and threw them at each and got us to photograph them.So we had to clear up the mess afterwards, so that was the reason for the delay.
Weird or what ?
Mind you it was in Birmingham . LOL,LOL.

Re: Cake Smash

Even if I thought it was a good idea ( which I don't) the coloring in those cakes would make me think twice about letting a child eat them.

Re: Cake Smash

I'll be known as a mean mummy but we never do birthday parties until they know what they are all about so 4 is about right time to start IMO and cheap is just as good as spending a lot they remember the general day not the amount spent.
