Britain gave £4M in aid to North Korea over a period of six years and there are no plans to stop it. Kim must be laughing his socks off.

Any country that can afford to spend what N. Korea must spend on armaments has no need of aid.

I agree yet no one has the intelligence to stop it. Just think what that £4M could have done for a local hospital.

I wonder who profits from these payments, someone must be getting something out of them to think n Korea needs aid.

Hi

Only 16% of what we spend goes on humanitarian aid, ie natural disasters.

37% goes to the UN for aid.

The rest we spend ourselves.

Pakistan £374 million, India £186 million, both have nuclear weapons.

We also doled out £263 million to Nigeria.

Nigeria being the 21st largest economy in the world.

IMO we are at a point we should just support disasters, most countries have enough riches to actually support their own poor.

According to reports today, Theresa May is not planning to reduce the proportion we spend on foreign aid

What is it with our governments? Why are they so determined to give our money away?

Maybe there are reasons we just don't understand?
