Four new Bank Holidays in the pipeline

So Corbyn is promising four new bank hols for patron saints days. Isn't this welcome? He's certainly coming out with a bag of sweeties while the tories seem to just have big sticks in their sack.

No doubt when he is Prime Minister we will have International Terrorism Day when he invites all his mates here.

More good news then for the economy as we grind to a halt once more for no good reason, but not such good news for employees either, as there is no requirement in law for employers to give time off for bank holidays nor indeed to pay for them unless it is specifically stated in employees' contracts that they will do so.

Always good to get the important issues dealt with first. I wonder if he would give us a day off for Independence day?

I think he's onto a winner and could well get elected on this.

He's obviously going for the "lazy git" voters and those that own holiday/tourist businesses.

For this country a massive change is about to take place in the next 2 years....and he promisive us more bank Holidays.

This isn't as good as if sounds as many of us have bank holidays taken out of our holiday entitlement giving four more means we will only get three weeks and a day to have as we wish. and it encourages firms to take the bank holidays out of our entitlements even more. It will IMO make many have less time off so I can't see the economy suffering by country grinding to a halt its much more likely low paid workers lose the right to take holidays when they wish.
