Hmmm, scorched earth, mysterious ringtone, I would phone the Police, on the "Hotline".

Hi

You would be paranoid if you lived here Mups, the fly boys are going nuts this afternoon.

You just get used to it.

But Swimmy, what have 'fly boys' got to do with mobiles ringing when no one is there?
It wasn't feint, it was quite loud and normal sounding, and right next to me. I aint imagining it.

Re: A bit odd?

While I was musing about this pile of ash, I heard a mobile ringing, but no one was there, just me and the dogs.
I couldn't work out where the sound was coming from and by the time I realised it was coming from somewhere down an overgrown bank of brambles, it cut off again.
Perhaps there is a body attached to the phone Mups

I think I might report the phone to the local community policeman.

Hi

Absolutely nothing Mups, I posted on the wrong thread.

I am as high as a kite with all the drugs pumped into me at hospital today.

It's great and all on the NHS.

Re: A bit odd?

Nom misses nothing! We must be more discrete!
Actually I think someone mugged someone, grabbed their bag, burnt it after removing valuables and decided to ditch the phone as it was a cheap one and could easily be traced.
Well, I do live near Midsomer so I have experience in these things.
