If a black man called me white trash, the bit I would find offensive is 'trash'. It can't be the white bit, that's what I am.
But the other way round and it would be the mention of clour that would be offensive.
That's quite true LD. it's the same as this:
a Black person can wear a T-Shirt showing the words "Black Power". A Women can wear a T-Shirt showing the words "Female Power," but if a White person wore a T-Shirt showing the words "White Power", they would be arrested!!
Well then...wear the one that says Black Power, and get a black friend with a sense of humour to wear the one that says White Power, and see what happens!
Then do it the other way round.
My guess is no one would turn a hair..
