Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Left the house at 7.30 am to do my shopping in Llandrindod. There were some gaps on the shelves, mostly fruit from abroad, bananas, etc. but not too bad. Got all I needed anyway. Watched the Tokyo Olympic opening ceremony this afternoon - well until the speeches started!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Cooler today - thank goodness. In fact, standing talking to a friend in the village I was wishing I had a cardigan on!

Watched a bit of the Olympics this morning - Mens Gymnastics qualifying - Team GB did us proud. Elsewhere we seem to have had a shaky start. Poor Geraint Thomas crashed out of the cycling.

Getting stuff ready for putting tea for the Pilgrims who are walking Kilvert's route over the hills between our four churches (tomorrow). It should be a bit cooler for them too.

The rain that was forecast for today didn't happen.
Spent a nice few hours with granddaughter and children this morning. She was a bit gutted that they had the party yesterday as the weather was bad for today-wrong.Still a good time was had by all on the bouncy castle.

Some sunshine but a lot cooler.
Not doing much and TV a bit rubbish if you dont watch The Olympics .
Granddaughter just phoned and has been to visit Glastonbury and stayed overnight at a retreat. Coming down tomorrow to tell me all about it .
Take care xxx

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Went to Church first thing, not too many Pilgrims by the look of it, so only made one loaf of sandwiches. Just having a rest watching the womens gymnastics before I load up the car.

Weather is a lot cooler - actually slept under the blanket last night, and I shall be putting a cardigan on to go up the Church this afternoon!

Well we have had some rain, but not as much as forecasted. Much chillier, I have a cardigan on in the front room. Not feeling very sparkling today, not sure why, hope I'll be better after a good night's sleep.
