Re: New Year?

It's my son's birthday N.Y. Eve, so he usually has a double celebration.

Oh, so you were one of those inconsiderate new mothers that kept the midwives from their New Year Kissing, were you?

Yup!
I daren't have a drink on my birthday (December), that year because I was so near to time, nor at Christmas.
I remember thinking "Blow it, on New Years Eve I will have one little drink", but I ended up getting whipped off to hospital instead.
It was snowing like blazes, and my husband's old van wouldn't start, I thought we were never going to get there in time.

It turned out my brother and wife had their first baby on the Christmas Day, and mine followed a week later on N.Y. Eve.
An interesting end to that year.

Hi

Typical.

If you had held on for a bit he would have been a year younger.

I wish you'd have told me that at the time.
