As my pension age has been moved to 65 and seven months, it's not going affect me now as I feared. It makes no difference how long I wait! It means that I won't be able to move to another two bedroomed property nearer family though unless my youngest stays at home. That is if I become a new tenant, possibly by changing Housing Associations.As it's only for new tenants, I doubt if a single pensioner or couple will be able to bid for a property with more than one bedroom anyway.
It all depends, I think, if by moving they're classed as new tenants.
Where are all these one bedroomed properties going to come from?
They're probably going to get hit with it if there's nothing to downsize to.
Still, no one cares about the less well off...

Actually the more I think about this, the less sense it makes!They've realised it's pensioners blocking the larger properties, but, at least before a family with children had a small chance of exchanging with a pensioner as the pensioner could downsize to a two bedroomed property. Now they will still be hit with bedroom tax so they'll only want a one bedroomed property.
People with young children, who don't count as human beings needing rooms, will still be trapped in small properties because otherwise they will be hit by the bedroom tax.
None of it makes any sense! Do they actually look at the situation at all???

So who's filched the 500,000 building fund? And the £3 million quid raised from the National Lottery and donations?
Is it in bonds or the trade unionists own back pockets?
