Re: Daily shower or not?

I do not feel awake until I have had a shower and washed my hair in the morning. It's an absolute necessity and the only time I'd miss it is if I am sick in bed. I also like a lazy soak in the bath with some perfume oil on a saturday or sunday morning. That's my weekend treat. I'd only settle for a strip wash if I were camping and there were no facilities. But ugh it would be roughing it!

Re: Daily shower or not?

I always have a shower when I get up in the morning and another when I get home. I can't relax or go to bed unless I've had my evening shower.

I don"t shower every day , I don"t believe it is good for one. Upsets the PHd balance. specially as women get older ,dries out their skin .
As for washing hair every day , I do believe it contributes to thinning hair.
Just saying.

Re: Daily shower or not?

hmmm I think washing hair every day should promote the opposite of hair loss. Because you are massaging the scalp it should promote the circulation and prevent hair loss.

I've noticed in my elderly mum that hair colouring promotes hair loss. She has a glorious head of hair since she gave up and went grey.

I may feel differently in ten years but at the moment I love my morning shower. There is definitely a special relationship we humans have with water.

Re: Daily shower or not?

I don't understand this theory that having a shower daily dries your skin, actually it does the opposite. Drenching your skin totally every day puts back moisture into your skin.

Skin dries out through the day especially in winter in centrally heated environments, the quickest easiest way to moisturise is in the shower especially if you use a good moisturisng shower cream wash.

Re: Daily shower or not?

Takes the natural oils out .
Nivea in shower moisturising cream is good

Every two or three days is more than enough in this B awful climate with a wash in between times of course .

I dont shower until I have taken the dog out for a long walk anyway .
I have dog walking clothles which I change when I come back as walking in the country tends to be a murky affair

I usually wash my hair every two days in summer every three in winter unless I go swimming or it looks too awful.

Absolutely but I feel much better being in the sea .
Salt water is good for us .
Only if it's the warm tropical sea of course .

Hi

It is a fact of life that wimmin are dirtier than men.

They need a shower every day, us men only need one once a week.
