Gender Neutral

Did anyone hear on the news last night about now some people are insisting on 'Gender Neutral' passports?

Is there such a thing as a gender neutral driving licence?

Where will all this end, and is it really necesary?

Re: Gender Neutral

It's ridiculous, you're either male or female.

Absolutely ridiculous...the few bullying the many.

Just get on with whatever you want without making a song and dance about it.

Re: Gender Neutral

I am willing to accept any persons individual right to be whatever gender they feel happy with regardless of how they were born.. I will use language appropriate to the way the person presents themselves to me. But while toys or clothes can be gender neutral if a person becomes gender neutral isn't that one step closer to being a ' thing' ?

Re: Gender Neutral

This will cause havoc within the Judiciary.

How will Judges know who to give lighter sentences to?

How will they know what prison to send them too, as well?
Will they stop having male or female prisons one day?

Oh that, at least, is easy.

They'll have separate wings for weirdos. They can sort each other out at their leisure in their own little world.

They're not weirdos! They're a section of society that have been largely ignored and abused since time began.
Now they're getting some help and appreciation of the difficulties they face those who have always had rights are complaining.
For heaven's sake, get over the fact that things are changing, for the better.
I wonder if some of those complaining wished they could have considerations like these when they were younger and are now too old to take advantage of new treatments.
I find this constant harping on and on about unfortunate folk who have not chosen to be born in their gender really disgraceful. There but for the grace of God go you.
Worry about things that affect you and let others get on with their lives.
I find I'm embarrassed by many of my generation.
I've really had enough now!
Bye.

Re: Gender Neutral

First reaction is that this is rather daft. After further thought I conclude that it is rather daft.

Now I can accept that there is a minority who (quite justifiably) fall into the transexual category and would grant them the right to a gender neutral status if they so wished.

For the rest of us, let us rejoice in our gender.
