Re: Infrastructure.

But its not just out in the sticks, its most of the country

They won't implement water rates so there is no money. We don't have a government so whatever money there is, isn't being allocated

Nope

I'll blame the electorate

They are the ones who allow the DUP in, they get the GVT ( or not in this case) they deserve

Re: Infrastructure.

I don't think anyone has mentioned my bugbear: pot holes.

I have driven in France, Germany, the Netherlands and the US. In none of those countries have I ever seen potholes, certainly not to the extent that we have them.

Like our roads and our transport infrastructure in general, it all boils down to the lack of forward planning. Other countries saw it coming: the sudden increase in motor transport, and laid new roads to account for it. This country assumed that our Victorian road system would be adequate.

JBR, if you want to see pot holes, come over here

Or if you can get The Nolan Show on the player, take a look at last nights show.

I see. Are your potholes bigger than ours, then?

Sounds like one-upmanship.

I now expect to hear from a Texan assuring me that potholes in Texas are the biggest in the world!

They can't be

We only had a few minutes of a programme devoted to them

See you had a whole 30 minute programme about them tonight
