I am afraid that even government sections, who got most things right, are trying to cut costs by reducing staff....as most businesses already have. This means that customer service is slipping in most places.
From 2004 to 2010, I ran a book keeping service from home and did most of my clients tax returns. I was surprised to realize that many of them were owed tax refunds....but back then I could discuss it with a member of staff and get refunds sent to my clients.
How happy I am that I needed to give up my business when I was diagnosed with cancer, because I couldn't have given up when dealing with a customers tax affairs
