Greatest band ever?

Mine is Pink Floyd for various reasons.

However, I often feel Abba to be a close second.
Extremely well written catchy tracks. Also, if you take the time to listen to the background music, it's very complex and could just not suite the track any better.

What do you guys & gals think?

Gosh this is a hard one .... so many good bands.

I agree with your choices of Pink Floyd and Abba ... but Genesis were damn good .. and the Beatles ... and ...

Genesis yeh!

Remember the track "Carpet Crawlers"?
I think it took years for people to work out what that track was actually about. Very cleverly written indeed.

In my opinion, Beatles are certainly the most influential groundbreaking band. Paved the way. But my favourites are:
1. Yes (1968-1972), (1976)
2. Genesis. The Peter Gabriel years
3. Rush
4. Led Zeppelin
5. Eagles
6. Chicago
7. Bread
8. America
9. Beach Boys
10. Buffalo Springfield
11. Association
Many others too numerous to mention but The Cure, and the PSB, too.

Beatles and Rolling Stones has to be up there I never tire of The Eagles either but there are so many. Pick the best one? Very difficult in fact impossible for me.
