Seen this before Cinders.
The thought is quite revolting to me to be honest, but I believe women used to do in the past. It was fried or something I think!
Animals do it, my dogs used to eat the placenta after each puppy was born.
during my years in HK some of the Chinese ladies swore by it and brought it to work as a special treat. No - I declined!
Now wild cat - well that was different!
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, made a "placenta pate". Others have fried, roasted or made smoothie. I am willing to try most foods but could not knowingly eat it.
