I do a lot of countryside rambling - wearing the "right" clothes is imperative, especially when fell-walking, and has become second-nature now, for (almost) any type of activity .....

Ditto bird watching. I have a very expensive Barbour for Winter & a lighter weight Paramo for other times, if no jacket required I have tees that won't frighten the birds. I tend to buy men's jackets as I find women's too short.
