I have seen it before at my previous address. Sometimes when driving down the hill, the moon looked huge but then got smaller as I drove to the bottom. There is a name for that effect but I can't recall it.

This was taken by a friend at Volcanoes National Park on the big island of Hawai'i (one of my favorite places on the planet). The crater is the Halema'uma'u, which has been active since 2008.

It was beauty here.
