Yes I have experienced it a few times in the past. You feel half awake, can't move, and it is indeed frightening. I used to will myself to wake up and get my limbs moving.

Touch wood not had it for a number of years, but I have gone through lots of stressful times.

Gosh, no, I have never had that feeling, and don't want it either.
I've never even heard of it before.
How very frightening it must be. It would certainly scare me.

My son's friend has this,I dont know how he feels as he doesnt talk about it,he lives alone and has a carer come in in the morning to make sure he is fully awake before she leaves

I've never heard of it before either .... thank god ... it sounds pretty terrifying and enough to put you off even going to sleep.

Makes my insomnia seem easy to deal with and live with. At least there's no fear.
