Don't Blame the EU

Hi

We had a Referendum, a very important thing, Democracy at it's best.

We voted Leave, a decision which must be respected.

It was entirely our decision as to how and when to trigger Article 50.

The EU had no part in that at all.

We triggered it with the following.

No Customs Union, no Single Market, no ECJ.

No Norway Model, no Swiss Model.

A fixed Timetable, we leave in two years.

Give us what we want or No Deal.

The EU said fine, we respect that, your choice, your decision, out you go.

You are not getting what you want, we accept your decision.

The most we will give you is the same deal as Canada.

Take it or leave it.

If you want it, fine, you leave end of March 2019.

That is the date you have chosen, not us, we had no part in it.

What is so wrong with that?

If you want anything else, you will pay through the nose.

Our job is to look after ourselves, not you, you have voted to become a Third World Country subject to WTO Rules.

Good Luck,God Bless and Goodbye.

We wish you luck

Not so difficult to understand is it?

Not the voters fault. The government can prevaricate no longer.

I disagree with your analysis.

Any country that was to leave the EU had to follow the rules of leaving and the rules for leaving were not designed to be used by one of the top 5 economies, it was designed for the expected election of a populist govt in one of the smaller more impoverished states.

It's quite apparent the two year time frame is wholly inadequate for a major economy and major contributor as the UK.

That's the EU's fault as they designed Article 50.

I also disagree that the EU has ever respected the decision to leave. I'm sure even someone as intransigent and monochrome as yourself will concede that.

I disagree that we should have.......or even could have waited any longer to trigger article 50........The people had made their choice. Business wanted to know the post Brexit trading arrangement If that doesn't suit politicians then tough !
A VOLCANO DOESN'T ASK FOR PERMISSION TO ERUPT !!!!!!!!!!

The EU and their cohort of unelected and unaccountable bureacrats have confirmed everything we knew about them ......Arrogant, Confrontational, Disrespectful, Obtuse etc etc blah de blah de blah. I wonder what planet you have been living on to suggest the EU are behaving so honourably and in such an exemplary fashion. Did not the travesties endured by Greece teach you anything?
Anyway, Doesn't change a thing because we are Leaving.

Your incessant monologues/false narratives offer us nothing new swimfeeder and your arrogance that you speak as though you are stating the 'bleedin' obvious' is, well, Arrogant.

The World isn't as Black and White as you'd like it to be and I suggest you desist from posting as if you are 'speeching' to the converted and stating the 'Bleedin' Obvious'.

Hear hear.

If these people are so honourable, why haven't they explained their arrival at the sum of £40 billion demand for 'allowing' us to leave?

And what, exactly, would we receive in exchange for paying that enormous sum?

An interesting and apt metaphor. You see Brexit as a chaotic, destructive and irrational force of nature. Totally agree that it's a load of devastating vomit and hot air. As perfectly demonstrated today with yet another chaotic political volcano leaving a rotten egg self-destructive stink.
