What has happened to the British Summer?

I cannot believe this awful weather. One day sun, the next day dull and rain. I don't remember it being this bad as a child.
How do you remember bygone Summers?

Heatwave promised by end of week apparently, just in time for the days getting shorter.

Not that much rain in the south west and certainly isn't cold...

Re: What has happened to the British Summer?

It seems to me that we've had a mild, dry winter and a very warm, dry spring/early summer, so we need some rain soon - that will problem come with summer storms, as usual with Wimbledon round the corner .....
